Well, I offically enter 2d trimester today. Some people say it's at 12 weeks, but most say 13 weeks. I figured I'd wait out the 13 weeks to say I made it. My belly has shrunk since week 11, it must have been bloating. I have had flem in my throat since week 12, I am going to ask my Dr on Tuesday about it. I cough so hard I almost throw up and have thrown up a few times from it.
We have a doctor's appointment Tuesday (3/29/05) and I am hoping the ultrasound will look more like a baby this time. Oh and we are scheduled to find out the sex on April 26th. I especially can't wait for that one!

Tour of the hospital...
We toured the hospital today. It was nice, but I felt awkward because the only other people there were one couple and she is due in May. Isn't that a little late to find out about which hospital you'll be at? I was told to check it out before my 2d trimester in case I didn't like it. Well I did like it, but I think we'll go back again around 7 or 8 months just to get a better feel of the place.

Listen to the doppler!
I heard the heartbeat today!!! I used the doppler at work and it came through loud & clear! It was so exciting. I called Dave at work and let him listen over the phone. He heard it perfectly.

Heartbeat makes Mama's heart melt...

Just got back from the doctor appointment. I saw the heart beat, I didn't get to see it last time, but I saw it this time, it was a little blur on the screen going so fast! The baby looks good and has grown as it should. And it was moving around. The Dr. held the US wand still and the baby was moving in little quick movements. Our next appointment is on March 28th and then the one after that is where we should be able to determine the sex!!!! THAT is exciting!

David or Kaylie!
We decided on a full girl name. So now we have both "official" names picked out. If it is a girl it will be Kaylie Jane Rouse. If it is a boy, it will be David V. Rouse III (I won't explain what the V. stands for, lets just say it a personal family name). It is exciting! I can not wait to find out what we are having. I can't decide if I am wanting a boy or girl more now. I won't care as long as the baby is healthy. Yay for pregnancy! Such an exciting time.

Yuck...
Been feeeling icky lately. No m/s or anything, but feeling "blah". A few times I felt like I was going to throw up, but I don't throw up easily, so I didn't end up doing it. I always have this awful taste in my mouth like I haven't brushed my teeth in weeks. Even though I brush & floss them everyday! My belly has grown a little since week 6, I am glad I took pictures this early to compare. Been craving pickles, nachos/salsa and spaghetti o's. (Not all together). My sense of smell is heightened and the smell of alot of things makes me feel ill, but not pukey.

The bean in my belly!

We got to see the baby today! I couldn't really see the heart beat because I couldn't move too much or the image on the screen would jiggle around. Dave got to look really closely and he saw it plain as day. He said it was going a million miles an hour. Dr. said everything looks healthy and the chance of a miscarriage goes from 15% to 1% after the heart starts beating. So exciting!
