Strep B+

Well at my last appointment they told me I am Strep B + ...This just means I have to have antibiotics before and during labor. He said over 30% of women carry strep B. It's not something that affects us, but it can affect the baby if I don't get the antibiotics.

*sigh* Oh well, could be worse.

The Growing Child

We decided on a pediatrician for Davey. We took a tour of the place the other day and loved the staff and office. It's called 'The growing Child Pediatrics'. One more thing crossed off of our 'to do' list. I am getting SO impatient for him to get here!!!

Testing...

So I had my strep B test today and an internal. I have to go every week now and get internals done. Apparently my cervix is really soft and I'm dilated 1 cm. She said not to get too excited, some people can stay dilated for weeks. But she was surprised at how soft it was. I can't help but get a little excited. She said he was very active..Then.... She touched his head! She said "do you feel that?" ...I did. I could feel it in my abdomen. She said "I'm pushing on his head". It was WEIRD...

Getting Ready...

I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow. I can't believe it! I revised my birth plan today and will bring it with me to my Dr. appointment tomorrow. I also think we need to tour the hospital again. Ask any questions we have. I'll probably start packing my hospital bag too. I need to get some sample sized items from the store though.

Energy Draining...

I am losing energy fast! Dave has been taking over the food shopping and has been being so great with helping me do things like get up off the couch and such. I feel huge as a house and can not imagine how it'll be to get any bigger. My belly sits in my lap! I can't bend over easily, can't breathe easily, sleep is impossible without my body pillow, I get HOT as heck all the time. I mean sweaty and gross. But it'll all be worth it once Davey is born!

8 Weeks Left!

Well....I'm 32 weeks today, not much longer now. 8 weeks left (maybe)...I took some pictures today, they are not as good as real professional pictures, but they'll do. I was quite proud of them actually. I am getting SO excited that the time is nearing! I go into Davey's room and look at all the sutff all the time. I can't wait to see him in there. I can't wait to see what he looks like. If he has lots of hair, or none, his daddy's eyes or mine....it's all just so exciting to think about.
