Crampage!

I haven't had many bad symptoms until today, well today I started getting cramps. It scared me, even though I heard that cramping is normal. I called the Dr and they told me the same thing, it's normal. They said to stay hydrated and rest during breaks, but I ended up feeling sick, (probably worried myself sick over the cramping) and my boss let me leave. My first semi-bad cramp symptoms... PS - Right now (4 weeks, 4 days) the baby is officially an embryo and is about 2.5 mm long.

Mood Swings! Ugh!

Well, I am having more symptoms in the past few days. I have had to pee alot lately, been really thirsty, kinda bloated and sore BB's (sorry, LOL!) Oh and I had my first mood swing, (yay! *rolls eyes*) I got all emotional and started crying over the dogs and how I thought I wouldn't love them anymore after the baby is born. Dave talked me through it though and it was over in like 20 minutes. My symptoms before I got my positive test were headaches every night for a week, sore BB's, really thisty, (I'd wake up at 4 am for a drink) and heartburn.

It begins...

My first appointment with the OBGYN. I went in, confirmed pregnancy and got a pelvic exam. They took my weight and blood pressure as well as my and Dave's medical history. I got some free samples of prenatal vitamins and met my new Dr. Next appointment is Feb 15th, hopefully we'll get an ultrasound then!!! It won't show much, but it's still exciting.

Big Fat Positive!

Positive Home Pregnancy Test!!! The line was faint but definately there!!! I used the brand First Response Early Results. Yayyy!

The Story

In August of 2004 Dave & I decided we were ready to start trying for a baby. Things would come up or we would have second thoughts, but then someone said to me "the timing will NEVER be right, if you wait for everything to be perfect, it will never happen or it will be too late". We decided to start actively TTC in December 2004. Since we had decided mid-month, we must have missed the right conception time. I got my monthly visit on December 26th and counted 14 days from then. I also used an OPK (Ovulation Predictor Kit) to tell me when I'd be at the right time for conception. I was timed for conception on 1/9. The days passed and I got a little impatient so I tested early, about Jan 16th and it came out neg. I tested again on the 17th and there was an ever so faint line, but it appeared after the allowed reading time, so I shrugged it off as a negative.

On Jan 20th I stopped at Kroger on my way home and bought a first response early results test. I came home and tested, sure enough there was a light line, it came up within seconds! I started shaking and was so happy. I was waiting for Dave to come home, but I kind of gave it away on the phone anyway. He came home and I showed him the test. He was happy, but said I should test in the morning again to make sure. I did and the rest is history. Our baby is due October 2, 2005.
